ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING

Before going to the topic we should know about the difference between science and technology.

SCIENCE :It is a systematic enterprise that builds and organizes knowledge in the form of testable explanations and predictions about the universe.

TECHNOLOGY :Principles, processes, and nomenclatures of the more conspicuous arts, particularly those which involve applications of science, and which may be considered useful, by promoting the benefit of society, together with the emolument of those who pursue them.

These are the definitions which we find in wikipedia but simply science is a basic & constant,which has core principles and technology is made and developed based on that principles and it improves day by day and there is no end for technology as it varies daily.

INTELLIGENCE: it is the ability how we react to to the situations,nature,actions which happen around us.

ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE (AI)

The intelligence which is developed by humans is called as artificial intelligence which is made of bunch of algorithms.These algorithms are made using high level languages in which python is mainly used.These algorithms are inspired by human actions which means how people will react for a situation and that reaction of a situation is coded into a program,that group of programs will form artificial intelligence.

MACHINE LEARNING (ML)

It is a part in the process of development of Artificial Intelligence.Here machines will try to learn from our usage pattern of a product and they will follow the patterns and they will link the patterns together and forms a clear vision that how we are using that product and they develop some programs for artificial intelligence. AI is used in many ways in our daily life but it is not developed in a way that we can use it to replace a human brain.Some of the ways how artificial intelligence is used are :

-Autopilot mode in cars:
Some of the cars like Tesla’s model s and model x has autopilot mode in which car is driven by itself (automatically) using AI which is already developed by Tesla and for that it also requires many sensors. But it will have less reactive time compared to that of humans,this is the reason why we should not trust it entirely.Hence,the companies should work more on it and they are working also.It should consist the ability how we react to a situation like if a man jumps in front of a car,person will break immediately due to his involuntary actions which are blazing fast but for a computer it will take more time than us.Hence,we should make it as fast as possible so that it could replace driver. Now let us jump into the mostly and widely used gadget in the world.

-AI in smartphones

Although there are smart they are also using AI like

· Potrait mode in google pixel 2 , here this camera will totally depend on its software to take a potrait picture instead of using both hardware-software and well it performs better than hardware-software processing.
Means AI can do magic and we can do more with the existing hardware only.
· Huawei and mediatek has including npu’s(neural processing unit) in their new processors which helps in artificial intelligence.

Like Huawei Hisilicion Kirin 970 soc and Meditek Helio p60
(it uses 7% of processing cores for AI).
· These npu chipsets are great in performance and using both AI and machine learning they optimize the phones according to our usage pattern and increases battery life and boosts performance.
· Xiaomi ,Huawei,LG and some other brands are using these npu’s for scenic mode in the camera where camera will detect the object and it will change the contrast,saturation and modes on its own and makes pictures better than normal shots.Huawei’s AI camera has ore than 500 scenic modes.like it detects human it will automatically takes a potrait shot,if it is a tree means increases green tint etc. .Huawei also used AI stabilisation in p20 pro smartphone instead of OIS(optical image stabilisation) and EIS (electronic image stabilisation) which means brands are using AI wherever they can use it because it helps in performance increase and marketing as well.

-IOT devices

· Here also both machine learing and AI comes into play where they can be used to simplify our lives like for example
let us consider smart-speakers like Google Home,Apple Homepod,Amazon Echo all these have inbuilt assistants which works based on AI.
· These speakers will give answers for most of our questions and not only questions but also they help us in daily remainders,forecasting,solving puzzles etc. everything.
· Recently in Google’s i/o they have unveiled the future technology of AI i.e, Google Duplex where Google assistant can answer calls on behalf of us although it is in development stage definitely it will be a revolutionary technology in near future.It can imitate humans very well and they have also displayed a video also.
· These assistants are also available in smartphones also and all these assistants will learn from our usage patterns and from our actions.By the way we can use them if we get bored or feeling lonely because at least they will stay with us forever.

· Google is using AI and ML in Google translate.
Amazon is going to use it for drone deliveries and they are going to add a new feature in the cart that if we choose a product it will add that product when it is available and it can check out also.Similarly we can do shopping in Amazon Echo also.It also helps in navigation also when these autopilot cars or any other vehicles are interlinked they can form an ecosystem to analyse the traffic and they can move easily.Facebook is using it to remove fake id’s to to provide better  experience of the user.

· Google,facebook and some other companies are using AI itself to code new AI algorithms.


Pros of AI

· It can make ur life easier,simpler,better.
· Intelligent Moderation: Intelligent Moderation allows human tutors, moderators and teachers to analyze the data produced by large groups with the assistance of AI techniques like machine learning. In turn, educators can be more efficient in the classroom.
· We can predict future desease attacks and many other problems.
· We can power bots with AI to work on their own.
· AI can be used to help the diabled by building a bridge between our and artificial human organs with AI.
· Using bots in wars and to do missions and Indian army is also using AI.
· And many more the list is not ending....

Cons of AI

· Threat to humans
Nature built us and then our intelligence has improved day by day on its own due to thinking power and we are building AI .It will also become powerful one day to think on its own.If it becomes real then it might be destructive because we are destroying nature in similar AI can destroy us.We have seen in movies like in Marvel Avengers AI built a brain on itself and made Ultron but in movie there are Avengers to defend it.But in reality in future we may make it as powerful as human brain to make a Ultron but unfortunately we don’t have any Avengers do defend it.People will say that if  we create something we can also destroy it but to eliminate AI at that level it is not easy like switching off electricity and not powering them,so many people and animals will die if that happens before shutting them.So we should put boundaries so that the ball should be in our court.
· Unemployment increases rapidly.
· We can increase life expectancy but there will be no protection for our lives.
· If a person is capable to lead the AI he will become a dictator and can be more powerful than any other creature on earth.
